For Frank de Biasi, every day is different. Thursday might find him arranging a shipment of weathered floorboards for a rustic ski home in Colorado, while Friday could be spent on Park Avenue, supervising the application of just-so white paint for a contemporary-minded couple. A versatile stylist with an extensive design history vocabulary, de Biasi is not bound to a specific look. Rather, he listens closely to clients then applies skill, expertise and hard work to bring their dreams to life.
De Biasi’s career began at Christie’s New York, where he spent six years in the estates and appraisals department, acquiring a deep knowledge of art history firsthand. From there, he moved to the offices of internationally acclaimed architect Peter Marino, where he was Director of Interiors for twelve years.
Both experiences were immersive educations, opportunities to handle the finest pieces, work with the best craftsmen, and to achieve perfect fluency in proportion, color and light. In 2006, de Biasi founded his own firm, which has grown steadily ever since. Clients appreciate his holistic approach to design – his awareness that the true value of a home lies not in its Instagram appeal, but in the quality of the lives that are lived there.
An ardent traveler, de Biasi lets his journeys play a starring role in his work. Excursions to Corsica, Paris, Thailand, Cuba and ports beyond serve as inspiration, as well as opportunities to cultivate unique sources. To work with de Biasi is to gain access to a truly global network of artisans, ranging from high-tech custom fabricators in New York to sailmakers in Jakarta. Clients relish the trip through this enchanting world, and appreciate that in de Biasi, they have a steady, good-humored guide who knows the way.
Frank de Biasi’s work has been featured in every shelter publication of note, ranging from House Beautiful toVogue to World of Interiors, The Wall Street Journal, 1stDibs, Veranda, and Architectural Digest France, Spainand Italy.
