The architectural bureau Gensler together with Tom Dixon / Design Research Studio worked on the interior design of the new office of McCann Erickson advertising agency in New York. The space area has 12,077 square meters and five floors that represent the flexible and diverse office environment.
Celebrating its 100th anniversary, McCann seized the opportunity to renovate its five-story New York headquarters and refresh its image as one of the advertising industry’s premier agencies. Shedding its previous overly corporate appearance, the revitalized space includes a double-height reception area that rivals the city’s trendiest hotel lobbies. An open-plan layout consolidates and increases workplace efficiency, while maximizing natural light and stunning Midtown views. The working areas are divided into zones, Central Park: a natural, informal and flexible area favouring communication and openness; and the Science lab: an efficient, high-tech area – a symbol of future profitability. There is also an Apartment and Lounge, a Ballroom and finally, the Library, each providing a unique way of working. What do you think about this amazing office design? Are you dreaming to work in such extraordinary ambience?
