Nevertheless for the light sleet today and the rain tomorrow, the Christmas is coming 🙂 And tomorrow will be a great Christmas event in NCY – Christmas Tree Lighting in Rockefeller Center, which will be held on December 3 with live performances from 7–9 PM, at Rockefeller Plaza, between West 48th and West 51st Streets and Fifth and Sixth Avenues.Tens of thousands will crowd the sidewalks for the event and hundreds of millions will watch it live across the globe.
Some interesting facts about Christmas tree this year:
The Rockefeller Center‘s Christmas tree, an 85-foot Norway spruce from central Pennsylvania, is hoisted onto a platform on Nov. 7 in New York City.
This year’s Rockefeller Christmas tree stands 85 feet tall and weighs 13 tons.
The Christmas tree be illuminated for the first time during a ceremony Dec. 3, 2014 and can be viewed until 8pm on January 7th, 2015.
The tree will feature 45,000 LED lights and a large Swarovski star on top.
