Jan Kath
Jan Kath is one of the world’s most in-demand designers of hand-knotted carpets! The man from Bochum doesn’t shy away from combining classic elements from the oriental carpet with contemporary, minimalist design. He breaks with conventional styles and throws strict design rules overboard.
His carpets have won many awards and are often exhibited in art and design museums, including the Museum für Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt, Art Museum Riga Bourse, and the Beijing International Design Triennial.
Roman and Williams Buildings and Interiors
Roman and Williams Buildings and Interiors is a New York-based design studio known for their work on hotels, restaurants, retail spaces, homes, and product design. Founded in 2002 by principals Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch, they have been honored with prestigious accolades, including the National Design Award for excellence in Interior Design, citations from Fast Company as two of the Most Creative People in Business, and being named to WSJ Magazine’s 2017 class of Innovators.
Most recently, Roman and Williams have created their most personal work to date: Roman and Williams Guild NY. Showcasing their collection of original furniture, lighting, and accessories designed by the firm, as well as items collected from the workshops of the world’s best artisans.
Selldorf Architects
Selldorf Architects is a 70-person architectural design practice founded by Annabelle Selldorf in New York City in 1988. The firm creates public and private spaces that manifest a clear and modern sensibility to enduring impact.
The firm offers services in architectural design, interior design, exhibition design, master planning, landscape concepts, and strategic planning. Selldorf Architects’ new monograph on the practice, “Selldorf Architects: Portfolio and Projects,” was published by Phaidon in the spring of 2016.
