The Radio City Christmas Spectacular is one of the city’s most popular traditions – a yearly tradition since 1933. This classic Christmas spectacle offers tap dancers, a flying Santa Claus and the amazing and world-famous synchronized precision dancing of the Rockettes.
The Rockettes are an American precision dance company, founded in 1925. They have been charming New York City every holiday season since 1933, and this year, they’ll do so for the 83rd time! Is a stage show that brilliantly combines singing, synchronized dancing and humor that will instantly get you in the holiday spirit.
The Radio City Christmas Spectacular runs from November 9, 2018 through January 1, 2019. Don’t forget, it is at Radio City Music Hall at Rockefeller Center.
Did you know that Radio City Music Hall is the largest indoor theatre in the world? It has a seating capacity of 6,000 and is an entire city-block long! In addition to the annual Christmas show at Radio City, road companies have presented a touring version in theaters throughout the United States. The first Christmas Spectacularoutside of Radio City was presented in Branson, Missouri at the Grand Palace Theatre in 1994.
It takes more than 250 people to stage the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, including the cast, which is comprised of over 150 singers, dancers and musicians, so you can’t miss it!
